In 2003, the face of the funeral service in Philadelphia changed when nearby Slabinski Funeral Home merged with Sucharski Funeral Home and now has become the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, combining their staff and facilities to better serve the community.
The Slabinski Funeral Home was established in 1917 by Joseph F. Slabinski. Since then, the Slabinski family has carried on a tradition of exemplary service and attention to each family’s needs. Joseph F. Slabinski III is Supervisor of the firm’s daily operations, and prides himself with over 50 years of experience in funeral service.
Joe follows in the footsteps of his father Joseph F. Jr. and mother Elizabeth, who up until her death in 2000, was Supervisor of the family service.
Joe and his staff of directors strive to provide the setting and services to create a meaningful funeral ceremony. A 2003 merger with the neighboring Sucharski Funeral Home helped raise the bar of professionalism in Philadelphia’s funeral service.
The Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home's philosophy is
"to provide the highest standards in quality care and perform services in a sensitive manner".
