Victor Caruso passed away suddenly on February 25, 2020. Loving son of the late Robert Sr. and Jacqueline (Holden) Caruso. Dear brother of Christine Maddalo (Michael), Kathleen Wesolowski (Joseph) and the late Robert Caruso (Suzanne), and also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Victor was a graduate of North Catholic High School and a long time resident of Bridesburg. He spent his youth active in sports at Bridesburg Recreation Center playing softball and football. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams. He worked many years as a freight handler for a company in NJ and enjoyed browsing the flea markets and going to the racetrack. He was a loving son caring for his parents during their long illnesses and loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday March 3rd from 11 AM to 12 noon in St. John Cantius Church (4400 block of east Thompson Street, Phila., PA 19137 and please note that there is limited parking at church so you are more than welcome to park in Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home parking lot, 2614 Orthodox Street and then just walk across the street to the church). Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon and his interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Victor's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at StJude.org and would be greatly appreciated by his family.
