Nancy Lou Stevens passed away on January 17, 2017 in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Fulton, New York on May 5, 1940 to Garnold Richards and Jane Tuttle Richards, Nancy was the youngest of their four children.
Nancy married David Lewis Stevens on October 26, 1961. They raised three children together until his death in 1981. Nancy enjoyed reading, cooking and family gatherings.
Nancy is survived by son David Stevens and wife Patsy, daughter Mary Bukowski, and son Patrick Stevens and wife Terri DeMey;
as well as her brothers Lawrence (Larry) and wife Nancy, Frank and wife Gayle, as well as sister Suzanne Strocko and husband Jay. She also leaves four grandchildren; James Bukowski, Josephine Bukowski, William Stevens and Amber Stevens who all knew her as Nana, as well as one great-grandson Kyle Ziolkowski to whom she was MomMom.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Nelson and George, sister Beverly and son- in-law Dennis Bukowski, husband of daughter Mary.
Nancy suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and was a resident of Laurel Square Nursing Home for the past few years. Nancy's family is grateful for the kindness and care she received from their entire staff.
Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017, 11:00am EST at the Slabinski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox Street, Philadelphia, PA, (215) 744-2700.
