Margaret Ward Reynolds

Margaret Ward Reynolds (Peggy), of Ann's Choice, Warminster passed away on February, 28, at Doylestown Hospital with her family at her side. Born April 24, 1920, in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late James J. Ward and Margaret Trovillo Ward. A graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Peggy, attended Temple University and majored in home economics. In 1952 she married the love of her life, Thomas P. Reynolds, and moved to Great Neck, NY. where they raised their family and began the family import business Reynolds Yarns. Margaret worked in product selection, marketing and advertising at Reynolds Yarns until the business was sold to a division of Johnson Wax Co in 1986. Upon Tom's death in 1980, she returned to the Philadelphia area to live near family including: daughter, Elizabeth Reynolds, (Jack Calahan) of Buckingham, and grandchildren Thomas, Cara, and Jamie. For years, Peggy, maintained a home in Longboat Key, Florida near her son Sandy and wife Deborah Estabrook of Sarasota and grand children Thomas and Susan of Austin Tx. She was preceded in death by sister Elizabeth Gorman (Sylvester) and brother James Ward (Florence of Flourtown, PA).

Blessed with good health, Peggy enjoyed a long, active retirement including volunteerism (The Woman's Exchange, Nova), travel (especially with sister Betty to casinos anywhere), bridge, antique hunting (loved auctions), sports (Phillies, Eagles, thoroughbred racing, and golf), and keeping informed about national politics. But mostly, faith, love of family and support from friends, doctors and caregivers sustained her longevity.
