Kathleen Elizabeth Jacobs, née Smialkowski, gently passed away on February 11, 2024 at 73 years old. Kathe is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Edwards (Timothy), 3 granddaughters, sisters Maryann Smialkowski and Patricia Smialkowski (Benjamin), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Jacobs and parents Edwin and Elizabeth Smialkowski. 

Kathe was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School in 1968 and earned a B.S. in Design from Drexel University in 1972. On November 30, 1974, she married Don. Kathe spent most of her career in the fashion industry, notably working as the Assistant Fashion Director at Gimbles and the Layette Coordinator at Saks Fifth Avenue. She had a great love for her alma mater, and served as the Publicity Chair for the St. Hubert Alumnae Association for several years. Kathe was also an amateur genealogist, and loved to connect to family members all over the world. 

Interment will be private at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Philadelphia. A memorial service will be held at Narberth Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Visitation 10am, Service 11am followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Hubert Alumnae Assoc., 7320 Torresdale Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136.
