Joseph M. Dunphy

Dunphy Joseph M., Sr. of Philadelphia, PA. on April 30, 2019, beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Klenieski), loving father of Joseph Jr. (Victoria), Jennifer DeLuca (Louis) and Amanda Wollick (Matthew). Doting pop pop of Adrianna, Louis III, Mallory, Taryn, Kiera and Jocelyn. Joe was a proud US Army Vietnam Veteran, member of American Legion Post #821 who served as Past Commander and financial officer, past 5th district financial officer, and Philadelphia County Council financial officer. Joe was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan and a total "Philly" guy. Beloved CYO basketball and softball coach for many years, affectionately known as "Mr. D". He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary, Rose, Michael, Eileen, Thomas, Ann and Theresa, and was predeceased by his brothers Edward, John, and Gerald. Relatives, friends and fellow members of The American Legion are invited to gather on Saturday May 4th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox Street Funeral Mass will be held at 1 PM in St. John Cantius Church. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers your donations to the Disabled American Veterans 5000 Wissahickon Ave Philadelphia PA 19144 would be appreciated by Joe's family.
