John J. Zobel, 89, passed away on June 13, 2024. Son of the late Frederick and Catherine Zobel (nee Strain). Dear husband of the late Carol M. Zobel (nee Godfrey). Beloved father of Deborah Carol Zobel and Jacqueline Marie Zobel. John was a lover of the Monarch Butterfly, so in his memory, plant some milkweed to help save the Monarch Butterfly from extinction. 

Jack was a Philadelphia Union Carpenter; a job he loved working for many years at C. Erickson and Sons Construction, enjoyed hand-making furniture for his family, and served in the US ARMY. Jack met and fell in love with his wife, Carol, at Carol’s family ice cream shop where he hung out drinking milkshakes. He has many cousins, nieces and nephews who adored him and loved him tremendously who will miss his sense of humor and bright blue eyes. Jack was an avid Eagles fan which he shared this game with his daughter Jackie.

Relatives and friends are invited to his service on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11 AM at the Tacony Baptist Church, 4715 Disston St., Philadelphia, PA 19135. Burial to follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory to Tunnel to Towers Veterans Organization, T2T.org would be appreciated by his daughters or, simply plant a tree in John's memory. If you are coming to John's services on July 3, 2024, please dress for a celebration of his life !
