James C. O'Connor

James C. O'Connor, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2023. Beloved and loving husband of almost 50 years to Theresa H. (nee Valentino). Jim was predeceased by his siblings Patricia Stott, Timothy O'Connor, Dennis O'Connor, William O'Connor and Antonia O'Connor. Dear brother in law of Dominic Valentino (Doris) and Deborah O'Connor. Jim is also survived by his goddaughter Dana Dougherty and many nieces, nephews and their families. Jim proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He served as an usher and parishioner of St. John Cantius Church and was an avid fisherman, he loved to spend his time fishing since he was a young boy. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 beginning at 10am at St. John Cantius Chapel, 4410 E. Thompson St., Phila., PA.Jim's funeral mass will follow at 11:30am. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory to the ACCT Philly TNR Services, 111 West Hunting Park Avenue, Phila., PA 19140 would be greatly appreciated and appropriate since Jim loved all animals.
