DELIA
FRANCIS C. DELIA, of Phila. PA and Palmyra NJ, departed this earth on May 7, 2004, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace M. Delia, born Senatore and the mother of their daughters, Barbara A. Delia and Frances D. Kirschner wife of son-in-law Allen and mother of his grandchildren, Kerry Moser and Kristopher Moser. Also, preceded him in death, his second wife, Cecelia H. Delia, born Konkolewska. He and Cecelia were retirees of the old Frankford Arsenal.
He was very proud of his service in the US Navy both reserve and active. His active duty during WWII and Korea was on sea duty in various campaigns in the Pacific Theatre.
He was the eldest born to the late Florence and Frank Delia. He and the family mourned the death of his 3 brothers, Timothy, John and Thomas Delia. His is survived by his only sister, Rose Marie Rihl, widow of Charles Rihl, and his many nieces and nephews. He had strong affection and devotion to family, by relationship and extended in marriage. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0727 for well over 50 years. He was a "plank owner" of the US Navy Memorial in Washington DC. His last eight months were spent as an independent, happy and active resident at The Fountains of Logan Square East in Center City, Phila. He lived by Love of God, Family and Country. Relatives and friends are invited to his VIEWING Wednesday, 10:30 A.M., at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike and Fork Landing Rd., Cinnaminson NJ. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 A.M. Int.
