Enzo Costanzo, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Enzo passed away peacefully in his home in the Deni area of the Frankford neighborhood in Philadelphia. Enzo was born in Marzi, Italy, and came to America as a young man. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carmella Mazzitelli.

Enzo is survived by his five children and 10 grandchildren: Maria Teresa Gershenfeld, her husband William and their daughters Jessica, Emily and Jenifer; Christopher Jonathan Costanzo and his daughter Isabella; Danielle Brightdawn Strutton, her husband Mark and their children Cessie, Jaycob, Jordynn and Wyatt; His son Rancourt Woodell; and Mardella Sunshine Richarson, her husband Troy and their sons Kenyon and Enzo.

Enzo is also survived by his beloved aunt, Pupa Mollo of Calabria, Italy, her children Pietro and Rachele, and her grandchildren; his two younger brothers; Gene and Frank; and a host of family and friends.

Enzo was well known for being a cement mason with a love for cooking. Enzo loved to feed people and was known to whip up a meal for anyone who knocked on his door. He had a love and talent for making wine and even ventured into entering his wine into a competition. Enzo  had a strong work ethic, quirky sense of humor and loved to laugh, which he passed on to his kids and family.  He was unapologetically himself and everyone that knew him loved him.

It was Enzo’s wish to be cremated and have his ashes returned to his home country of Italy. His children will plan a trip to take him home for his next birthday in 2024. Enzo’s family will coordinate a Celebration of Life for June 2024 for those in the Philadelphia area who wish to celebrate his tremendous life and spirit.
