EDWIN J. "Uncle Ed", on August 3, 2010 of Moorestown, NJ, formerly of Stiles Street, Philadelphia, PA. Dear husband of the late Valintina S. (nee Kazan). He is survived by his loving niece and caretaker Henrietta 'Hank' Comegno and her husband Vincent of Riverside, NJ and his great nephew Vincent Comegno (Daryl), and nieces, Deborah Comegno, Cynthia Moffett, Laurie Player (Greg) and their families and other nieces, nephews and their families. Ed's neighbors used to call him the 'Mayor' of Frankford and Bridesburg in Philadelphia because he was always dressed up in a suit and tie when he went to the grocery store and the bank. Because of his love for people he was very generous, and caring about others needs, even to strangers, especially around the Holidays with Kielbasi, Chrushki, Babka, Rye Bread and his making of Red Beet Horseradish. Uncle Ed loved to dress up in his Navy Uniform at Halloween. He loved to sing, party, was, and still is a great dancer. Relatives, friends, American Legion Post 396 are invited to his viewing Monday, 9 AM at
THE SLABINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila. Services 11 A.M. Int. Oakland Cemetery.
