Edward William Skalski

SKALSKI
EDWARD WILLIAM SKALSKI, on July 29, 2003, due to a terminal illness. He is survived by his sister, Florence Skalski Fritz and her husband Robert Fritz of Schenectady NY; their 4 children, their 9 grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Edward was born in Phila. and graduated from Frankford High School, Class of 1940, where he played first violin in the school band. He then went on to further his music studies at the Philadelphia Conservatory. A Veteran of World War II as a Corporal in the US Army, Edward still maintained ties with several members of his Unit. Edward was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church in Southampton PA, where he served as an usher for over 40 years. He was also a pivotal member of the Church Bowling League, whose support throughout his illness has been much appreciated. A former employee of Standard Press Steel, Edward was an avid rock collector and long-standing member of the Rock and Mineral Club of Lower Bucks County. Edward was always pitching in, he never complained and will be profoundly missed by his friends and family who know he is in as good hands as anyone could be. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, 10:30 A.M., at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Second St. Pike, Southampton PA. Memorial Mass 11 A.M. Arrangements by
