EDWARD J., on May 6, 2013. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Bakun), dear brother of Thomas (Carmella), Barbara Keyser (Paul), Stanley (Constance), Jeanette Schenk (late William), and John. Also survived by 10 loving nieces and nephews and many loving great nieces and great nephews. Devoted son of the late Edward and Jane (nee Warminski). Ed was a Purple Heart recipient during the Vietnam War, also awarded the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Natl. Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and is a retired corporal of the Phila. Police Dept. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday evening 7-9 PM and Saturday morning after 9:30 AM at THE SLABINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 11 AM. In St. John Cantius Church. Int. Resurrection Cem.
