Catherine O’Neill
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Catherine (Cass) O’Neill (nee Pomykacz), a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, who peacefully left us on December 4, 2024 at the age of 89. Born on October 20, 1935, Catherine was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. Catherine was a talented baker and cook, known for her delicious treats and meals that brought joy to every family gathering. She also had a passion for crocheting, creating beautiful handmade items for her loved ones. Additionally, she was a dedicated volunteer for her church, always willing to lend a helping hand and support her community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O’Neill to whom she now joins in eternal rest. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith, leaving behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who knew them.
Catherine was a loving mother to Maryanne Burns (Joseph) and the late Brian Patrick O’Neill, and a cherished grandmother to Jennifer Kilpatrick (Kyle), Jamie Frockowiak (Steve), April Smith (Sean), Brittany McClintock (Kevin), and Eric Strouse (Rhiannon Resenly), Jonathan Burns (Melissa) and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Papini. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them with unwavering love and kindness.
A viewing and mass will be held in her honor at St. John’s Cantius Chapel on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 beginning at 10am with mass to follow at 11am. Interment will be held immediately following mass at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Voorhees Animal Orphanage.
