Philadelphia

Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Rolling (nee Booth), a beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Grammy, passed away peacefully on August 17,2024, at Temple University Hospital. Born on October 8, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, Betty was a proud graduate of Roxborough High School, class of 1955.

Betty dedicated her early, professional life to the art of hairstyling, and later, worked in customer service at the family-owned Light Parker Furniture Company in Conshohocken. These years were particularly special to her; the camaraderie she shared with her coworkers created a supportive, family-like atmosphere that she treasured deeply.

A devoted homemaker, Betty's heart was as vast as her love for her Polish heritage. She took immense pride in sharing her culture and traditions with her daughters, Amy and Judith, as well as her cherished grandson, Colin Matthew. The holiday gatherings they shared, filled with laughter and the delicious meals that Betty cooked from recipes passed down through generations, were not only a testament to her love, but also an embodiment of the values she held dear. There was a special bond between Betty and Colin, as they were two peas in a pod. She reveled in watching him grow, and her heart swelled with pride for this amazing boy who meant everything to her.

In every aspect of her life, Betty was a devoted Catholic, deeply connected to her faith and to the Blessed Mother. This devotion guided her as she walked through life, embracing every opportunity to show love and compassion to those around her.

Betty joins her beloved parents, Charles Edward Booth and Anna Elizabeth Booth, her brother, Charles Edward Booth, Jr., and her husband, Richard Murray Rolling in eternal rest. Their memories will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends who will continue to uphold her spirit through the love, traditions, and values she imparted.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on August 22, 2024, at St. Josaphat Church, 124 Cotton St., Philadelphia, PA 19127, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
