Alfred H. Bofinger

Alfred H. Bofinger, age 86, passed away on November 11, 2021. Born on February 23, 1935, the son of Fredrick and Mary Regina (nee Lange) Bofinger, was a life-long resident of Bridesburg. Dear husband of 58 years to the late Carmella (nee Moffa). Beloved father of Jason J. Bofinger, MD (Gloria Di Lullo) and the late Victoria. Loving grandfather of Matteo. Alfred was the brother of James Bofinger (Joan) and the late Mae Burger. Uncle Al, or as some lovingly called him "Unkie Al", will be lovingly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Al was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a 40-year employee of Acme Markets. He was a life-long devoted member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ and was active with the St. John Cantius Golden Age and the All Saints Senior Citizens. Al was an avid Philly sports fan, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed bowling, horse-racing, and was always the life of the party! Relatives and friends may pay their respects onSaturday, November 20. 2021 beginning at 9:30 AM at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Philadelphia, PA 19137. Services at 11 AM will be led by Rev. David Reppert. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery.
