13.  O glorious St. Lucy, blessed virgin and martyr, patroness of those suffering from maladies of the eyes, pray that our gift of eyesight may be preserved so that in all things we may see the beauty and glory of God their Creator.
By your life and your martyrdom you became a light shining in the darkness. May your good example lead us from the darkness of sin to the light of eternal glory.
Be our intercessor with Jesus, our Lord and Savior, that He may grant us the vision to see and appreciate the beauty of God's creation.
